Create your badge Margie

Margie graduated from The Laban Centre For Movement and Dance in 1985 after which she danced professionally with a contemporary dance company both in the UK and in Hong Kong. She taught at the well-known Jean M Wong School of Ballet and returned to the UK in 1988. After completing a P.G.C.E. in dance education, Margie went on to teach dance up to G.C.S.E level at Camden School for Girls in London. After moving to Greece Margie went on to study for her RAD Ballet Teaching Qualification as well as achieving the I.S.T.D Modern Theatre Dance Certificate. In Greece, Margie helped run a successful dance theatre school.

On her return to England she took up freelance work which included the Italia Conti Associate Theatre School in London. Margie now specialises in teaching ballet at da as well as working in local schools, assisting with choreography for school shows and is an examiner for GSCE students. She enjoys teaching children of all ages and has four children of her own!

Nicola

Nicola has been dancing since the age of 4 and her love for dance has grown from a hobby into a career. As a child, Nicola was accepted into The Royal Ballet School and has danced with The National Youth Ballet and The European Ballet. At the age of 16, after being a Junior Associate with The Royal Ballet, The Hammond School and The Urdang Academy, she was given a full scholarship to attend The Hammond School, Chester. She graduated from The Hammond in July 2002 with a National Diploma in Musical Theatre and her ISTD modern and tap associates.

Since then Nicola has enjoyed balancing teaching with dancing. Dance credits including: ‘Peter Pan’ Blackpool Opera House, Pontins Brean Sands, ‘Swinging Sixties’ Birmingham NEC, inauguration cast ‘Costa Magica’ (2 seasons), ‘Spirit of Christmas’, Dance captain/Production Manager ‘Costa Fortuna’ (2 seasons). She is now teaching full-time.

Jenna

Jenna ran our very successful Musical Theatre workshop during the October half term and returns to teach regular Musical Theatre classes. She trained at Sylvia Youngs Theatre School, the Northern Ballet School, the Arts Educational School and the National Youth Music Theatre. She has considerable stage experience.

Becki

Becki recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Dance with a BA(Hons) in Ballet Education. She has also gained her Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Dance and is a registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance. She has also achieved her Elementary Certificate in Labanotation whilst studying there.

Becki has been dancing since the age of 3 at her local dance schools, Barbara Evans School of Dance and Harlequin Stage School in Worcester. She trained in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary and Street jazz performing at the All England Dance Festival, Charity events and in Pantomimes.

Becki joined da in September to teach Ballet, Contemporary and Street Jazz.
