What to wear

Ballet

Hair should be swept back off the face and tied up in a bun whenever possible. A neat presentation is important as it encourages confidence and pride in the student's own performance.

Pre-school ballet

Any shorts or leggings and a `da` t-shirt purchased during the first week of the Autumn term, pink ballet socks, pink leather ballet shoes with elastic and a P-skirt (Pink).

Pre-primary

Short sleeved pink "Chloe" leotard. with P-skirt (Pink). Cross over cotton pink cardigan. Short pink socks.

Primary 

Sleeveless "Aimee" leotard in blue with matching belt. Cotton blue cross over cardigan, short pink socks, P-skirt (blue)

Grade I and II 

Sleeveless "Aimee" leotard in blue with matching belt. Cotton blue cross over cardigan, short pink socks. Black character skirt with 3 colour band braiding (to compliment leotard) - student's own choice of colour (in reference to character skirt ), character shoes with pink elastic which remains the same for character right through to Grade VIII.

Grade III and Grade IV

Sleeveless "Aimee" leotard in lavender with matching belt, cotton crossover cardigan, pink ballet tights are worn from Grade III - though socks still preferred. Ballet ribbons now used on shoes. Ballet tights are worn from Grade IV.

Grade V

"Faith" leotard in mulberry. Grade VI "Jane" leotard in navy, navy chiffon skirt and scarf, pink ballet shoes and tights. soft pointe flats should now be worn. Grade VII & Grade VIII Soft pointe flat shoes should now be worn.

Grade VI, VII, VIII

"Jane" leotard in navy, matching skirt, soft pointe flat ballet shoes are now worn.

Majors

"Alice" or black leotard. Soft pointe flats are now worn and pointe shoes are used for the first time. Please see teacher before purchasing any pointe shoe.

Shoes

Pre-school, Pre-primary, Primary and Grade I: pink leather ballet shoe with pink elastic. Grade II, III, IV pink satin shoes are preferred.

Character shoes

Children may move up to the higher heel in Grade III depending on the age and size of the student. Please ask the teacher for advice.

Boys

PB shorts black PB Te-Shirt White. White short socks and white leather / canvas shoes.

Primary and Grade 1 Modern and Tap

Amethyst polo velvet sleeveless leotard with black N/L cycle shorts. Katz tap shoe with a buckle.

Grade 2 and 3 Modern and Tap

Purple polo velvet sleeveless leotard with black N/L cycle shorts. Katz tap shoes with a buckle (Grade 2) and jazz tap shoe with laces (Grade 3 and above).

Bronze Jazz Award/Teen Street Jazz/da Dance Crew

Jazz pants black and fitted "da" t-shirt (white or black). Jazz trainer or shoe.

Junior Street Jazz (boys only)

Tracksuit bottoms blackand "da" t-shirt (black). Jazz trainer or shoe.

Contemporary/da Dance Moves

Jazz pants black and fitted "da" t-shirt (white or black). Barefeet is preferred although socks may be worn.

Adult Classes

There are no uniform requirements for adult classes, but please ensure that you are wearing comfortable clothes which allow you to move with ease.
